Meet Devin
Devin received his Master of Arts in Counseling in 2017 from Colorado Christian University (CCU), a program nationally recognized and accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). During his time at CCU, Devin had the privilege of working with faculty recognized by state and national counseling associations. During his time spent at CCU, Devin was trained in treating the biological, sociological, psychological and spiritual profiles of his clients using a wide range of modalities. Trainings acquired by Devin include Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. Much of Devin’s education and training is devoted to helping break the impact and stigma involving mental health and addiction and seeing people recover.
Devin Trevathan, MA, EMDR (EMDRIA) Trained Therapist, and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, is a Licensed Professional Counselor (in Ohio and Michigan) who works with persons who struggle to manage sexually addictive behaviors, as well as accompanying mental health challenges. Devin currently studies and utilizes the work of Dr. Patrick Carnes, Dr. Kevin Skinner, Dr Kenneth Adams, and Dr. Alex Katehakis, addressing the many facets connected to sex, love and porn addiction, as well as betrayal trauma. Devin also has experience working in the field of substance abuse, providing individual and group psychotherapy services for his clients.
Devin has a wide variety of experiences ranging from working in community mental health, to treating adolescents in residential treatment, to working in residential and intensive outpatient programming for adults. It is his passion, calling, heart’s desire, and goal to help his clients reach their greatest potential.
